Building connects: the JettyCloud Lego party
At JettyCloud, we’re always looking for fresh, engaging ways to hang out and connect outside of our daily tasks. Our latest team-building adventure? Tapping into our inner children for a hilarious, fast-paced Lego competition! Here is how we turned a pile of colorful bricks into a masterclass in teamwork (and chaotic fun).
The Challenge: From Bricks to Business Plans
We split into teams, and everyone stepped into a specific role: Developer, Tester, Project Manager, or Designer. The mission seemed simple enough: agree on a project concept, map out a strategy, and start building.
But as any tech team knows, the "requirements" are sometimes a moving target! To keep things interesting, we threw in some hilarious, real-time obstacles every few minutes:
The Pivot: "Management says gigantic things are in — supersize your build immediately!"
The Legal Compliance: "A new NDA just dropped. For the next few minutes, you can only speak using words that start with the letter P." (Plausibly the peak of perfectionist prototyping!)
The Marketing Shift: "Red is the new black! Redesign your nearly finished project right now — and hurry, the clock is ticking!"
Watching our Project Managers try to enforce the "P-only" rule while Designers frantically swapped out blue bricks for red ones was worth the price of admission alone.
The Pitch and The Podiums
Once the timers buzzed, it was time for the presentations. Each team took the stage to pitch their creations, defending their unique concepts and tech stacks with a mix of pride and pure comedy.
Because everyone brought their absolute A-game, there were no losers. Every team’s hard work, resilience, and sheer creativity were recognized with a custom special nomination.
