VoIP engineer

We are looking for a Video Conferencing/Telephony Engineer to join our growing Operations team — someone with a strong desire to learn and share knowledge, adopt practical new approaches, and work collaboratively.

The primary role of this position is to serve as a technical expert on Video Conferencing and Telephony projects, support day-to-day service delivery, provide expert-level voice and collaboration support, and ensure the reliable operation and high-quality delivery of Unified Communications services.

As a Video Conferencing/Telephony Engineer, you will closely collaborate with engineering, development, and other operations teams on a wide range of topics. Strong problem-solving skills, a structured and analytical mindset, and the ability to stay focused and perform under pressure are all critical to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support high-load Video Conferencing and VoIP platforms.

  • Deliver Linux-based components and services to production environments.

  • Design and implement automation, verification, and analytics pipelines.

  • Participate in continuous testing and validation of new features.

  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues in Production and pre-Production environments.

  • Analyze trends and contribute to capacity planning, resource scaling, and session tuning.

  • Participate in a shared on-call rotation.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a telecom enterprise environment as a Telephony Engineer or similar role.

  • Hands-on experience with video conferencing systems (configuration, call setup, device management).

  • Strong understanding of VoIP technologies and SIP call flow debugging.

  • Advanced Linux system administration skills (CentOS, OEL).

  • Scripting or programming experience (Bash, Python, etc.).

  • Strong networking knowledge (CCNA+ level) and experience with Linux-based routing (e.g., exaBGP, ECMP, ERSPAN, IPIP tunneling).

  • Experience with Kubernetes deployments.

  • Familiarity with monitoring and visualization tools (Zabbix, Grafana, Kibana).

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Pre-Intermediate or higher English level. Be ready to pass a second-round interview in English.

Experience in the following is a plus:

  • CI/CD pipeline experience using GitLab.

  • AWS EC2 or other cloud platforms experience.
