The Service Engineering teams are responsible for break fix, quality and reliability forcore audio/video services.
The Service Engineer is a one hands on role that will work closely with our Support Teams on the one hand to take care of escalations, maintain the Knowledge Base, and with our Engineering Teams on the other hand by giving them triaged, documented and troubleshooted issues to fix.
The successful candidate will have a passion for customer success, plus some experience on real time communication.
Design solution for production issues
Fix production account configuration issues
Proactively react to Web-related production incidents
Develop internal tools and frameworks to maintain and support production system sustainability
File JIRA tasks for production issues
Phone shifts in Service Engineering
Collaborate with OPS and Development departments
3+ years of experience in Commercial Software Development in Java (J2SE, Java Web applications, J2EE) on Java developer (preffered) or QA automation engineer position
In-depth knowledge of Java based Web services
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and procedure manuals
Ability to learn complex, distributed systems quickly and thoroughly
Good interpersonal skills, verbal communication skills
Personal responsibility, learning, independence
Experience with application servers (JBOSS, Jetty)
SQL language understanding
Understanding TCP/IP protocol stack
Linux OS experience
