Senior QA Automation engineer (Signaling)

We develop UCaaS platform RingCentral that is used by over 1 million businesses. It helps them all around the world to stay in touch with their customers and employees. We make everything work smoothly.

Our team is involved in the development of the RingCentral Video Conferencing service which is built on top of WebRTC. RingCentral Video Conferencing service let organize the audio and video conference for hundreds of participants in different regions.

The team is working on the Selective Forwarding Controller: core video conference system signaling for media backend service. Service is responsible for SDP negotiation between video conference participants, forming the forwarding rules for Selective Forwarding Unit (SFU) and between SFUs in the different regions.

We are looking for an experienced QA automation engineer with a possible background in audio/video processing and networking backend services.

You will

• Analyze requirements, develop test strategy, and design test cases;

• Write automated tests and improve the testing framework;

• Document defects, look for ways to reproduce and verify fixes;

• Deploy, update, and maintain test environments;

• Improve the automated CI/CD pipeline;

• Accompany the created product throughout the entire release cycle;

• Work in an Agile team, participate in improving development processes and increase the efficiency of teamwork.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in server software testing;

• Understanding QA as a quality assurance process, knowledge of software testing processes and methodologies;

• Ability to work with functional and non-functional requirements;

• Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems;

• Understanding of basic network protocols (IP, TCP, UDP);

• Good knowledge of Python;

• English level at least Intermediate.

Nice to have

• Experience working with WebRTC protocols stack;

• Understanding of SDP and Offer-Answer model;

• Knowledge of Java;

• Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, and NIX.
